Chris Watson currently serves as the Chief Claims Officer for Bedivere Insurance Company (In Liquidation).  He started his insurance career in 1983 with Reliance Insurance Company and focused on claim handling and management spanning from entry claim technical to senior claim management  positions.  Chris remained with Reliance when it was placed into liquidation in 2001, serving as Claims Reinsurance Commutation Coordinator and Assist Vice President of mass tort claims. In 2009, he joined Legion Insurance Company (in Liquidation) as its Senior Vice President of Claims.  Upon Legion’s discharge in 2019, Chris rejoined Reliance as its Senior Vice President of Claims until its discharge in 2022.

Since joining Bedivere in 2022, Chris’ primary responsibilities have included developing necessary liquidation claim management systems and determining the Estate’s ultimate claim liabilities, Proof of Claim evaluation and resolution, claim processes and data quality and support of reinsurance collections and commutations.     

As noted, Chris has 25 years of experience working with Receiverships and managing the specific Estate’s appropriate claim outcomes. He is a graduate of Albright College, Reading Pa. and has earned the designations of Charter Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Claims (AIC) and Associate in Reinsurance (ARe).
