Michael Dickey is the IT Director for the Illinois Insurance Guaranty Fund (IIGF), where he has spent nearly a decade leading technology strategy, infrastructure modernization, and operational resiliency initiatives. Under his leadership, IIGF has strengthened its technology foundation through server virtualization, enterprise software migrations, enhanced backup and disaster recovery capabilities, and the elimination of critical single points of failure.

Prior to joining IIGF, Michael served as a Network Administrator at Lewis University and Columbia College Chicago, where he specialized in systems administration, infrastructure support, and process automation.

Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Lewis University and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). He is passionate about IT leadership, operational resiliency, and leveraging technology to improve organizational effectiveness. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter.
